Project Overview
Branching Out was contacted by a local golf course in West Sussex to carry out tree management works across several areas of the course. The client required a safe and professional approach that would improve tree health, maintain clear playing areas and reduce potential risks to golfers, staff and visitors.
The challenge
Several mature trees around the course had become overgrown, with low-hanging branches affecting pathways, tee boxes and sight lines across the fairways.
Some deadwood was also identified, creating a potential safety concern during periods of high wind.As the site remained in regular use, the work needed to be carefully planned to minimise disruption to players and daily course operations.
The Work Completed
The Branching Out team carried out a range of tree surgery works, including crown lifting, deadwood removal, selective pruning and general clearance around key areas of the course.
Work was completed safely and efficiently, with care taken to protect the surrounding grounds and leave the site clean and tidy once finished.
The Outcome
The completed works helped improve safety, access and presentation across the course, while supporting the long-term management of the trees on site.
The client was left with clearer pathways, improved visibility across selected playing areas and a more manageable landscape for future maintenance.
